The only caveat is that I used a Windows Phone (Nokia 920) with my 2012 while I'm using an iPhone 6s with my current 2011. On both of these cars I had the RNS510 (the one with touchscreen and navigation). The earlier generation had pretty basic bluetooth audio capabilities - allowing it to stream audio and nothing more, while the later generation includes audio track information and support for the steering wheel controls. ![]() As I understand it, there are at least two versions of bluetooth modules installed on the MK VI generation. When using it in my 2011, it does not display music information and my steering wheel audio controls do not control the music. ![]() ![]() When using bluetooth streaming in my 2012, it displayed music information in the head unit and steering wheel audio controls worked. I've owned a 2012 Autobahn and a 2011 Autobahn (in case you're curious, my 2012 got totaled so I replaced it with a 2011.)
